As you know we have set up Official Discord server for Unloze. https://discord.gg/R6WjHdgbdZ
I'm here to ask the public opinion if we should completely switch to using Discord.

Discord has many upsides compared to its rivals. Here are some of the many features.

- 100% Free, without the need to pay for a license we will save money and that money can be used to other things.
- Browser Support, you don't even have to install the App to join our Discord server.
- Great Free Mobile App, sometimes the Admins cannot take part in the admin meeting because they are not home even if they want to. With the app people can join the server from anywhere.
- Friends list.
- In-game overlay.
- Messages send can be read any time, even after disconnecting.
- Video chat! They will be adding video chat to Discord any time soon, no need for Skype if you want to video chat.

Here you can read about the features yourself https://discordapp.com/features

You forgot to mention the actual voice chat Discord has.
Anyway, I think both TeamSpeak and Discord can co-exist.
Some people are just simply used to TeamSpeak, and are stubborn about trying new things.
Although, when Discord gets video calls and screen sharing, it will outright make all other platforms useless.
It's also gaming oriented, and since we're a gaming community, it goes well with that.
On a technical level, Discord also allows many, many things to be done with it's code.

The only downside to Discord is that we, as a community are not hosting the servers.
(Which, to be honest, can also be counted as an upside, for whenever we're having issues with the box.)

I'd like to hear more discussion about this.
Oh, and as already mentioned, our Discord is already set-up. It's for everyone, so feel free to join in!

or how about you stop circlejerking about how much you discord fanboys love discord and just let people go with whatever they want.
I'm here to ask the public opinion, not to jerk about it.
Also explaining about the features of Discord to people who do not know about it.

Yeah i was thinking about this too and in my opinion it's plus minus solution like u said.

And Discord is free for now, but once they are completely done with it I bet they will launch a subscription based licence or something like that.

except teamspeak would also have been free to us for a 256 license, apart from the fact a certain pickler screwed that up by putting ads that never generated money on the homepage....
