1 - Maps that have a long cooldown shouldn't be able to be placed into the nomlist at the middle of the night. I have notifications on Mako, Minas etc and sometimes the server changes automaticly to them at late hours of the night when no one is playing, thus placing the map on a longer cooldown.

2 - Maps that have a long cooldown should have the normal rtv'able time removed and a new one added, increasing the timer from the normal one.

1) I can take a look at whoever is doing this. We have a DEV server for the purpose of training maps if needed.

The reason for suggestion 2 is because when we actually take the time to rtv for a map that has a long cooldown and we actually get that map, some people will just spam rtv and newfags will follow it. It has happened many times when the server changes into Mako for example, it gets rtv'd after a few minutes and we can barely play 2 or 3 stages.

maybe this isnt the exact place but to go along with the long map cooldowns it seems that some maps have these long cooldowns to avoid marathons but there are other maps that are marathoned everyday like pirates and shroom that have a much shorter cooldown than maps like mako or minas or other FF maps.

I absolutely agree with your first suggestion. We already saw someone playing at night putting every single ff map on CD.

Concerning your second suggestion... If Mako gets rtv'd within 5 mins that probably means none wants to play that map. Its always the same fags that nominate mako all the time until it gets voted for because 2-spam and fags yelling to vote for mako on chat and mic.

If v5 and v6 shared the same CD then maybe yes, until then no.

Edit : if someone is actively spamming to rtv on a map do tell us, we can mute for that.

In contrast to Egg, I kinda half agree with the second suggestion. The problem however is that you are implicitly only talking about specific magfag maps. There are other maps sharing the same number of cooldowns that kill the server mostly, where the option to rtv is needed.

However, I also agree with Egg. I rarely see the server wanting to go to some of these maps. Often they are spam nominated with people yelling in the mic to vote for them. And then people rtv them.

Regardless, I think something can be done to let you guys play them more. I don't know if this is the best solution however.

Mako is always on CD, we get to play it after 70+ maps and it's retarded to have it rtv'd 5 minutes after it was changed to it, making it go into another 70+ map cooldown.
