Need help with advertising the Minecraft server.

Alright so as you know, we have set up a Minecraft server.
I need all your help to make it grow bigger.

I have listed it up on 3 different places, Reddit, minecraftforum.net and minecraftservers.org
I would much appreciate it if you would go upvote it on both sites and tell about it to your friends.

I voted but why we didnt wait to be sure what we want for the server in the first time ?
Because atm it's just a survival server, there are plenty of servers like this :s

The server can change as we go, and it will change when it grows and more plugins are needed and requested.
What we can do is to make it an better experience to the players compared to other servers, have active admins, healthy community and server that is worth playing on more than others.

What version of Minecraft are we running?

This isn't fully compatible with 1.9.

We are running 1.11 on the MC server, but we can try and see if this works.

Exactly that. Perfect comment! I explicitly pointed this out when we were discussing about servers.

I can see in the console that we've had a couple (5) randoms join since our server is advertising, but can also see that they left almost instantly.

Something needs to be done so we stand out compared to other servers.
