we have the unloze 2016 discord server and the unloze 2024 discord server. Over time there grew a split inbetween the unloze discord community and the people actually gaming on our CSS servers. This disconnect felt very hard to bridge due the discords gatekeeping that we unfortunately saw as necessary. We had multiple experiences of new people joining the unloze discord server and reporting users causing them to get banned by discord.
To bridge the gap we opened the new 2024 discord server which has no gatekeeping against new users. anybody can jump in. However compared to the old discord server is the new one also moderated more closely to be free of problematic topics.
Both discord servers heavily variate as the new one is meant for the actual CSS playerbase to discuss zombie escape, minigame and zombie riot. Meanhwile the old unloze discord primarly serves the purpose of being a place to talk about anything and just generally socialize with the community. Furthermore we now also added a matrix server which has the purpose to bridge the gap. It allows direct communication with the old unloze discord server.
